An Invitation to Experience His Power

In this next season, I believe we are being Invited to experience and move in God’s power.

Jesus is the source of power and it is His intention and delight to give us the kingdom. In Matthew 6, Jesus instructs His disciples to pray the Lord’s Prayer. This prayer ends with the phrase, “for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” It all belongs to Him. All the power, all the glory, the kingdom, it all belongs to Him.

Jesus declares His Father’s intention in this matter in Luke 12:32 as he encourages His disciples to not fear and that it is “your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Releasing the kingdom to His children and clothing them in His power gives God great delight.

We see this being played out in the life of Jesus as summarized in Acts 10:38, God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. This verse goes on to describe how Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. It is time for a demonstration of the kingdom. Jesus is releasing a kingly anointing on His children. Jesus has made us kings and priests to His God and Father (Revelation 1:6). I believe this kingly anointing will transform the weak and weary into warriors with courageous faith.
